7 Little Changes That'll Make a Huge Difference in Your Fitness

1. Invest into your fitness journey

9 out of 10 times when you invest into your own fitness journey, you will be more successful compared to those who don't. 

This could be as simple as a gym membership, or hiring a coach to help you with the things that you know that you have struggled with for more accountability and having something that is made just for you. 



2. Switch it up

Changing up your routine every so often so that your body doesn't plateau and get used to what you have been doing. 

Just like your body will adapt to your habits over time that caused you to gain weight, your body will adapt habits over time that will help you to lose weight too. 

You will want to change up your workout routine every so many months to keep your body guessing.



3. Make a workout playlist

Having a workout playlist will help to keep you more focused in your workouts and pumped up to get it all done. 

I have several workout playlists now depending on my mood for that day and the style of music I am feeling, but I know I always have something I can listen to keep me motivated to show up and push through every single rep. 


4. Have incentive-based rewards

If you’ve already started your fitness journey, then you should have your long-term goals in place. Whether it’s to get healthy or have a nice physique, these goals are essential, but they also take time.

When the goal seems so far away and the results aren’t instant, it can be hard to stay motivated. That said, offer yourself incentive-based rewards to help you keep it up. This can be rewarding yourself after each month of training, or when you accomplish a handstand for example. You can buy yourself new fitness attire or treat yourself to something fancy that you don’t get to indulge in very often. 



5. Get out of your comfort zone

Yes, there are some workouts you can achieve by your lonesome from the comfort of your own home. But, if you don’t have much experience, you may not be positioning yourself correctly, which could do more harm than good.

Taking the leap and joining a gym or a class can ensure you are properly instructed on how to stretch or lift weights. Also, putting yourself out there a little bit can give you the confidence you need to believe you can do it.



6. Don't Diet

There are a lot of diets out there claiming to help you lose a ton of weight in a short amount of time, but they often lead to burn out and eating disorders later on that hinders your results. 

Making it hard to see any results from the work that you have been putting in at the gym. 

When you don't diet and rather focus on having a plan that will be more maintainable for your goals, you will will be less miserable and actually enjoy your journey more towards your goals. 



7. Stay positive

Most of all it is important to stay positive and be willing to learn the necessary things it will take for you to reach your goals. 

Staying positive will help you to keep moving forward even when you are having a bad day.
