Carbs are bad ?

The first and most common myth people have about nutrition and weight loss is that carbs are bad and you are not allow them if you want to loose weight.

Many diets convey that carbs are bad and to stay away from them if you want to loose weight. The reality is that this is completely untrue.

You can in fact loose weight without depriving yourself of carbs. Complex carbs such as oatmeal and potatoes will allow you to be healthier and fitter because the energy from carbs will give you the energy needed to get through your workouts and your daily lives.

Carbs are also important for the body’s day to day functions. Carbohydrates or carbs are essential for having killer workouts and keeping muscle.

The final reason why carbs are good and you need them;  is that if you don’t eat carbs for a long period of time you will feel sluggish and your body will start to shut down.

If I don’t eat I will loose weight?

The second most common myth when it comes to nutrition and weight loss is the less I eat the more weight I will loose.

There are many diets and weight loss programs that convey that the less you eat the more weight you will loose.

This is a myth that is untrue and it can harm you more than you realize. Your body and mind need fuel to function and if you under eat the body can’t do that.

Your body need a basic amount of calories to do daily activities. If you under eating your body will start eating your muscles and then your organs will stop working.

Your muscles also need calories to burn calories and you don’t get those calories your body will go into starvation mood and you will hit a plateau.

In short, if you want to loose weight you need to eat.  This myth also leads into the third myth which is if I am dieting I am not allowed to have a treat or cheat meal.

I am not allowed to make a mistake?

The last myth when it comes to nutrition and weight loss is I am not allow to cheat on my diet and I can’t go out to eat when I am trying to loose weight.

This is false.

When you are dieting your body is in calorie defat and having a cheat meal can actual kick start your metabolism because it fires it up.

Oh no , I missed a workout and ate bad so I need to stop. This is not true.

Everyone makes mistakes the important thing is to keep going because if you keep going the days will add up and over the course of time you will get to your goals.
